Process Integration Solution receives Odette Certification
FIS customers are now equipped with the ability to process transactions with the new OFTP2 standard - for the future communication with business partners.
OFTP is a communication standard for process integration and data exchange between suppliers and automobile manufacturers. It was created by Odette, a collaboration of several European automobile associations including the German VDA (German vehicle manufacturers' association) with headquarters in London. OFTP1 is based on ISDN, which will be discontinued in 2018. A successor based on TCP/IP has been developed: OFTP2, which has been supported by the FIS/xee (xml and edi engine) process integration solution for several years already. To provide the customer with even more security, FIS has now been OFTP2 certified by Odette.
OFTP2 exchanges data via the internet, encoded via SSL/TLS. In addition, message authentication and integrity is ensured via a signature. With FIS/xee being OFTP2 certified, FIS is also officially qualified as an expert for the latest data transmission standards and can support its customers during the changeover from OFTP1 to OFTP2.
Automotive/automobile industry users are provided with an integration platform complying with the latest standards and enabling a secure and smooth data transmission. The solution, fully integrated in SAP, provides integration of diverse application systems as well as business partners into the corporate processes. FIS/xee is also SAP HANA certified and meets the high standards in the SAP environment.
The SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) approved the integration of the FIS solution in SAP ERP under SAP HANA with the use of standardized integration technologies.
6th FIS Forum Invoice Processing – with Audi
Incoming invoice processing is an essential technology used by internationally operating companies as part of their process digitisation strategy. FIS GmbH will present their experience and recommendations on this subject at the 6th FIS Forum taking place at AUDI Neckarsulm on May 10, 2017. This year as well, the day’s program includes an adventure tour taking the visitors through the final assembly department of the Audi A4 and A5 convertibles.
FIS iLog Launch Returnables Platform
In addition to the market leading SAP based FIS/wws suite of solutions specifically for the “trade” wholesale industry, FIS also offers expertise and consultancy in logistics and supply chain integration. FIS also announced a new proposition to the “logistics community” at the LogiMAT/Tradeworld Fair in January 2017.
FIS-iLog GmbH, introducing its new iRetPlat (integrated Returnable System Platform) solution for the first time. This is a new kind of cloud platform for the management of reusable transport packaging (RTP). In his lecture "Digital logistics collaboration – a (r)evolutionary cloud platform for anyone involved in logistics", Johannes Weigand, managing director of FIS-iLog GmbH explains how logistics players in the RTP management can make savings of 20-30% or more of the usual process costs – i.e. non-integrated records using paper documents or excel.
The platform is hosted by FIS and is available across UK/Europe – an electronic logbook of returnable transport assets. The solution integrates with ERP and Accounts software – not restricted to SAP users.
Master Data Toolkit Certification SAP S/4HANA
FIS / mpm has recently been certified by the SAP Integration and Certification Centre for the integration with SAP NetWeaver and also NetWeaver on HANA. This certification is the third FIS SAP-Integrated technology to be awarded certification for HANA after FIS / edc (Electronic Document Centre) and FIS / xee (Data Process Module).
FIS / mpm is an integrated SAP add-on application that is utilised specifically for making both wholesale changes and maintenance of SAP master data. The solution provides a toolkit that simplifies master data changes for both initiators and experienced data custodians. FIS / mpm enables processes such as materials management, price changes, vendor and customer maintenance to be actioned more economically than with SAP standard.
FIS/edc Roadmap with SAP S/4HANA
FIS / edc is a deeply integrated technology within SAP and is utilised to accelerate the throughput of financial documents in SAP ERP. FIS Customers planning to migrate to SAP S/4HANA Cloud platform need to be assured that the roadmap for FIS SAP_Integrated products is aligned with the new infrastructures of SAP. FIS Information Systems as an SAP GOLD Partner – works closely with SAP AG to deliver new technologies with complete SAP compatibility using standard SAP GUIs and SAP technologies such as Web Dynpro and Fiori apps.
